Leadership Embraces Relationships

Hello fellow leader,

The sound track to this post is Everything is Gonna be Alright by Al Green on the Gospel Express.

Think what you like about Unites States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton but her recent decisions to strengthen ties with Latin American leaders are a behaviorally in-line with that of successful leaders. According to CNN she will visit five Latin American nations in order to develop ties with not only newly elected leaders, and revisit old relationships. What important to note about her actions is that it displays how strong leadership embraces relationships as well as collaboration instead of negating them. Ms. Clintons decisions to visit these countries and their leaders catapults her to a level of relationship building that triples her effectiveness. After these visits the measure their effectiveness will be the results a leader achieves by motivating others. The fact is leaders alone accomplish little, but through relationships have the potential to achieve great change.

I can only hope that Ms. Clinton’s visits display only the best of her leadership skills, and I look forward to seeing if there will be reports on Clinton's International visits. Here is a link to the original Article.

If the leader is full of high ambition and if he pursues his aims with audacity and strength of will, he will reach them in spite of all obstacles. – Karl von Clausewitz
